When I wake, it takes a cold compress to drain the sleepiness from my face. I saw the sun rise today, as in most days in the fall. The clouds like pulled and worn cotton batting from the inside of a child's well loved quilt. The sun cast its pinky orange glow to indicate the East. In two days it will be our Moon. The Hunter's Moon, the Blood Moon, the moon which is best for Beading. The Bright Moon, the awakened Moon. We would celebrate the anniversary by the moonrise and hunt in its shadow.
